Russell A. Foulk, M.D.
Dr. Russell A. Foulk, M.D. is the medical director of the Nevada Center for Reproductive Medicine. As the only board certified reproductive endocrinologist in Northern Nevada, Dr. Foulk has expertise in all areas of reproductive medicine and advanced reproductive technologies.
He graduated at the top of his class while receiving his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. During his post-graduate training in Ob/Gyn at U.C. Irvine Medical Center and his fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at U.C. San Francisco, he received a prestigious National Institute of Health grant, published numerous papers and presented before many national organizations. While on faculty at U.C. San Francisco, his research endeavors focused on implantation physiology, in which he shares two patents on unique immunologic proteins expressed by placental cells. He continues his research interests through multi-center investigative trials and basic research into the mechanisms of implantation.
Dr. Foulk is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Washington, dept of Ob/Gyn and the University of Nevada, School of Medicine. He routinely teaches medical students, residents and general education courses.
Cristin Slater, M.D.
Dr. Cristin C. Slater is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. She received her bachelor’s degree in 3 years from the University of Utah, majoring in health sciences while minoring in both chemistry and philosophy. She received her medical degree from the University of Utah in 1993. She completed her specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Subsequently, she completed her sub-specialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California. Prior to joining the Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine, Dr. Slater practiced as an assistant professor in the division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility for 3 years at the University of Southern California, where she taught medical students and reproductive endocrinology fellows.
Dr. Slater is well trained in laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and microscopic surgery as well as with advanced reproductive technologies and hormone management. She has written 3 chapters in medical text books and published many articles in prestigious medical journals. She is active in various regional and national medical societies where she has presented her research. Locally, Dr. Slater continues to teach medical students and residents, as well as continuing to lecture for local physicians on topics in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Personally, Dr. Slater has been married for 8 years and is the mother of twin boys. She enjoys the many various outdoor recreational activities that Boise has to offer.
